Happy Self-Care Sunday and a joyful Mother’s Day to all! 🌸 Today is a splendid reminder to nurture ourselves. I've been spending the day at home, relishing the joy of doing absolutely nothing, and it's been WONDERFUL! Later, I plan to head to the park with my 16-year-old to enjoy some quality time together, painting in our favorite spot in the forest by the river. 🎨🌳


Yesterday brought an unexpected twist. I accidentally left my phone at home. 😬 Initially, I felt anxious about being out of reach. However, as my husband and I navigated through 2.5 hours of LA traffic, I discovered an unexpected peace. 🚗💨 It was like an involuntary digital detox, and honestly, it was refreshing—reminding me of simpler times when we only had a home phone.

Inspired by these experiences, here are three self-care tips to carry you through this week:


  1. Digital Detox: Encouraged by my accidental detox, I challenge you to dedicate an hour of screen-free time before bed. Notice the positive changes in how you unwind and sleep. 🌙✨
  2. Schedule "Me Time": Carve out at least 30 minutes daily for activities that revitalize your spirit—whether that's reading, taking a leisurely walk, or sipping a quiet cup of tea. 📖🍵
  3. Mindful Eating: Feed your body with meals that truly satisfy. Try to prepare at least one meal daily using whole, unprocessed ingredients, and enjoy each bite mindfully. 🥗🍴
