How can you feel better by living in baby steps?

#561 – How can you feel better by living in baby steps?

When you're ready for a change, you want it to be immediate and revolutionary. Like, "I'm poor today and I expect to be rich by tomorrow."

Then, when tomorrow comes and nothing in your financial picture has changed, you grow discouraged and give up your manifestation practices (be it door-to-door sales, visualization, or journaling).

Now, the really revolutionary mindset is that of "baby steps," of allowing things to happen "little by little." With time.

Of course, you know that. But your Ghost of Time Indifference wants you to forget it.

My Ghost of Time Indifference wants me to feel "at home" in my new house (in the Midwest, from Florida) right away. If I don't, it frowns and shakes its head, "You're never going to get used to this." If my son doesn't start leading a super-active lifestyle, getting in shape, and find a job in the next five minutes, "he'll never become an independent adult," the ghost tells me. And so on.

I've learned how to quiet the ghost: I just look it in the empty eye and say, "little by little." It then throws its hands up in the air and leaves me alone for a while, until it comes up with the next urgent thing it thinks I should get anxious about.

By embracing "little by little," I keep reminding myself that everything is in constant motion, and that which makes me anxious today will change with time.

Where in your life can you embrace "little by little" to improve your experience?

Love,

Caroina
