#2 –– Committing to change

My family didn't do change well.

They ate too much, exercised too little, complained endlessly about their weight... but rarely took action. Because changing would have taken too much effort.

What I learned from that pattern was that life just happened to us. If you're overweight and out of shape, what can you do? It's the cards you've been dealt.

When it came to earning money, the same thought pattern applied: either you're "given" opportunities or you're not. Things fall on your lap or they don't. You're the type of person who makes a lot of money or you're not.

And if you're not, that's it: there's nothing you can change.

Since March of 2023, I've been working on rewriting that pattern for myself. I now keep my mind open to:

  1. Opportunities are everywhere –– it's just a matter of seizing them
  2. I create the change I want to see in the world
  3. Anyone and everyone can become the type of person who makes a lot of money

The key is making the commitment to change, and that's what's hard.

Because committing to change implies taking full responsibility for my current state and for my desired future state. It means I can't blame anyone or circumstances for my lackluster financial results. It means I can't expect anyone to come save me.

And at the same time, it means I need to have full trust in myself.

Do you have full trust in yourself?

Love,

Carolina
