Why is your life so perfect?

#542 – Why is your life so perfect?
It's hard to believe, I know. With everything going on around us, who could consider their life perfect?
I do.
Not because my life is all spa days and Michelin-stars restaurants. Not because all my dreams are fulfilled––far from it.
My life is perfect because it's reality, and who am I to find reality wrong?
This morning, seeing me all bundled up, a gym friend mentioned she prefers the typical South-Florida weather––hot and humid. But "of course," she said, "not everything can be perfect."
"It is perfect," I responded. Having had some spiritually-oriented conversations before, I continued: "Anything we face helps us learn something or stretch in some way. Actually, this cold is for me," I joked, "because the universe knows I'm moving to Milwaukee, and it's helping me acclimate."
I know it doesn't seem "fair" to have to endure certain things––the way some humans treat other, more vulnerable humans, natural disasters, or food and home insecurity. I don't have an answer to how that's possible or why it happens.
But in my life, I can choose how I see my reality.
I had a job interview today. It didn't pan out––"things weren't aligned," the recruiter said. She meant my skills and salary expectations weren't a fit for the role.
I could've cried and felt desperate because, once again, I was rejected. I could let fear paralyze me, believe that I'm unemployable, and picture my ruin ahead.
Instead, I thank the recruiter for pointing me to this "wrong way" sign in my life's roadmap. She clearly saw that this role wasn't for me, and was kind enough to not beat around the bush.
It was a perfect job interview, one more in my perfect job search. Who knows if I'll ever find a job. What I know is that, whatever the outcome, it'll be perfect.
What do you need to reframe to see that your life is perfect?
Love,
Carolina
