#156 – What's the point of setting goals?

Goals, when based on the inspiration your True Self receives, are a gravitational force. You're inspired to write that novel, start that foundation, or do that type of work, and everything in your life seems to take you there. Pulling like a magnet.

But other goals only cause struggle, because they're based on external factors.

I want ten million dollars. Why? Because I want to buy this property in Tuscany and travel first class to Dubai and buy a Hermès Birkin bag. Why? Because that'll make me happy.

So, until that day when you have the property, the plane tickets, and the bag, what are you – unhappy?

Are you willing to stay unhappy until your "goals" are fulfilled? Wouldn't your life be richer if you could be happy even without those things?

The question that arises next is, how are you going to amass ten million dollars? I will work my heart off and do whatever it takes to make that kind of money. And what happens if you're not able? I'll feel like a failure.

And if that's so, what's the point of setting that type of goals in the first place?

What outward-looking goals will you reconsider?

Love,

Carolina
