#21–What's wrong about wanting more money?
Nothing.
What's virtuous about being poor?
Nothing.
So, why do so many people shy away from admitting they want more money? Why do so many people feel they shouldn't love money?
I have no answers to that. I only have answers for why I desire to be rich:
- I'll get to listen to music anytime I want
- I'll spend all the time I want doing what I love most doing––writing
- I'll give myself permission to act upon my desires whenever I want (hike in silence across the Azores and Madeira islands, read a book at 11am, go to a concert in the Madison Square Garden, rent a car and drive across the Mojave Desert...)
- I'll "vote" with my money––buying from B-Corps and companies that are "good citizens"
- I'll go on retreats to keep my soul in balance
- I'll support causes that I care about
- I'll support the artists that feed my soul
What does this sound like to you? Because it sure sounds like freedom to me.
And what would you do if you had more freedom?
Love,
Carolina
