#118 – Are you feeding the Ghost of Giving Our Time Away?

Do you take on projects you know will lead you nowhere but you don't know how to (or feel you can't) say no?

Do you accept invitations to attend events because you want to please someone even though you'd rather stay home?

Do you "endure" situations (relationships, conversations, jobs) that slowly kill your soul because you can't find a way out?

Do you spend time with someone out of a sense moral obligation, even though you’d rather be doing something else?

Every time we do this, we're feeding our Ghost of Giving Our Time Away. The more we feed it, the louder its voice grows. What does it say?

That we don't matter, that others must come first.

It urges us to accommodate everyone's needs at the expense of our own.

It tries to convince us that if we stop giving ourselves away, we'll be rejected. And that rejection is lethal.

In truth, the Ghost of Giving Our Time Away is just another skin that the Ego puts on when working on your protection.

The Ego is relentless in its goal to limit you because it fears that you'll die if you go out of your "familiar" zone. So it takes on different appearances and uses various methods and tactics to keep you in check.

But your True Self is even more persistent.

When you begin honoring your own needs and desires, when you listen to what you truly want rather than what others expect, and when you say no, you grow your Personal Power.

With every no, with every reclaiming of your own time, the voices of the ghosts grow quieter, replaced by the strength that grows from within you.

What will you say no to in order to reclaim your power?

Love,

Carolina
