#25–You thought it was about money?

Money and power get often confused

#25–You thought it was about money?

It's not. It's all about power––your personal power.

A newly appointed executive at a large corporation told me once that they felt intimidated by their peers on the executive team.

Digging down, we discovered that what made my client unsure was the thought that the other executives had more money.

They pictured them looking at their sizable investment portfolios in their custom-made suits and monogrammed shirts, and they felt small. Insignificant.

Well, it was not about money. It was about power.

Does money give you power?

No. Your power is always within you.

What money may be able to do is to remove the interferences between you and your power.

Because our connection with our personal power needs a wide bandwidth, and financial security helps––fewer distractions.

What also helps is the certainty that we have nothing to prove.

When have you felt most powerful?

Love,

Carolina
