OFFER THAT GUY
CFC100 Offensive tackle, Evan Rawlick, out of North Delta, British Columbia was discovered while playing at Seaquam Secondary, as well as our own Fox 40 Prospect Challenge. The 6'7" 295lbs technician has since taken his talents out east to Ontario where he now plays at Clarkson Football North and has since garnered an offer from Iowa State. Rawlick has some pedigree as his Dad is a CFL alum. Rawlick is just heating up so don't miss out on another great prospect who's also an outstanding young man.
Our take:
- Outstanding frame
- Good knee bend
- Does a good job with his kick and his punch
- In the run game, understands angles, how to cut people off, and work to the second level

SOUTH OF THE BORDER HEADLINES
- CFC100 Class 2021 (and apparently big-time scholar) Luke Foster announced his commitment to Yale this past week. The 6’4”, 245lbs tight end held 16 offers, including Rutgers, Buffalo, and Eastern Michigan, prior to making his decision on the Ivy League school. Going to what could be seen as the most academically prestigious school in the world, even if his pro football career doesn’t work out, expect for him to be making tons of money in his adulthood.
- The Mid-American Conference and Mountain West conference have become the first two FBS conferences to postpone their season to the spring of 2021. Many Canadians play in these conferences and will therefore be impacted, but it’s very likely that the moving of the fall seasons by these conferences are just the first dominoes to fall, and other conferences will follow suit.
- CFC100 Class 2022 #2 ranked Edwin Wilson Tara Kolenge picked up offer #11 this week from South Carolina. The 6’3”, 225lbs linebacker made the move down south for his 2020 season and will be attending a school in Florida. He has also recently been ranked a 4-star recruit by ESPN, in addition to reportedly garnering interest from Notre Dame, from which standout receiver Chase Claypool just moved onto the NFL.
RECRUITING TIP
Most popular questions from recruits this week?
You've played both ways all the way through high school ... Because of course you're a stud, and not because your team couldn't find more than 25 guys. Now as you can probably guess, roster numbers are never going to become an issue in U Sports or the NCAA, so how often do players play both ways? It's rare, but there's definitely some scenarios where you might need to pull a double shift at the next level.
BOTTOM LINE:
Just because you play both ways, doesn't mean your stud ... But don't be shocked if scouts take your two-way abilities into account on the recruiting trail. You never know when that receiver/kicker hybrid will come in handy.
