NEVER BE AFRAID TO CHANGE. Here's why.....

Hello you.
How's your week going? I have gist....
I love watching football. Of course, it was my husband that converted me. I even left my first love Arsenal and followed him to support Chelsea. What will we not do for love?
Anyway, that is not the gist today.
This past week, Chelsea has impressed me. I had stopped watching their matches at the beginning of the season when they kept losing in the most annoying ways. I cannot “kee” myself. I left their football for them. 😔
You see, I started watching Chelsea matches when the Chelsea greats were John Terry, Frank Lampard, and Didier Drogba.
If the greats you know are Kante or even Eden Hazard, please call me aunty. 😜
When Lampard applied for the coaching job at Chelsea, I’m sure it must have been a breeze. After all, this was one of their greats.
Lampard the coach tried. He really did.
But he was not as great as Lampard the player.
And in fairness to the management, they tried. They gave him time. From July 2019 to Jan 2021.
All the while Chelsea was losing points. And money.
So one bright morning in January 2021; sentiments aside, they sacked him and brought in Thomas Tuchel. German machine. Dude wasted no time in getting to work. And in a few short months, he started getting results!
And when I say results, I mean tangible results!
As at today, Chelsea is 3rd on the premier league table. Chelsea is in the finals of the Champions League and FA Cup.
Like they have two possible cups to take this season! Wow!
As if that is not enough, they met and defeated their Goliath (Man City) a few days ago.
Now this is not a football discourse.
I am going somewhere.
WHEN A THING IS NOT WORKING, DON’T BE AFRAID TO MAKE A CHANGE!!
If the management of Chelsea had held on to the sentiment that Lampard is “one of our greats”, would they be in the finals of these prestigious cups today?
What is the familiar that you are holding on to?
What is that thing you are not willing to change because of sentiments?
Today, tell yourself that you will not be the one to hold yourself from progress.
Take a hard look at your situation. Gather up your courage and make the painful changes!
You will thank yourself later!
Have an awesome week! I’m rooting for you!!!
