IF AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED ....

Hello dear!
It's been a while. I apologize and promise to do better. I have gist sha....
My eleven year old daughter is very artistically endowed. She is the one who loves to draw, paint, do crafts.
So when I got a gift of a 3D puzzle of the famous Eiffel Tower, I was excited and expected her to be to. She was.
Day 1 - She unpacked the over a thousand tiny pieces of the puzzle and pored over the instructions. She quickly got the hang of it and started.
Day 2 - She had completed the base (which was the largest portion) so I felt all was going well. She went to the next tier and that was she she got stuck. She tried as she could, it wouldn’t fit in. I knew something was wrong, but I needed her to work through this herself.
Day 3 - The bottom tier of Eiffel Tower lay abandoned. “Sweetie won’t you complete it?” I asked her when I couldn’t pretend to be unbothered anymore. “No. It’s too hard.” She replied matter-of-factly 🙆🏾♀️
I had to give her the “Talk”. She said okay she didn’t want to be a quitter and she would try again but not immediately. Hian!
Eventually, after supporting her with prayers (mummy prays about everything o!) she came to the decision to continue.
DAY 6 - I walk in and see the beautiful model of Eiffel Tower in all it’s lit glory 🤩. I was so impressed and super proud. So we had the second “talk” - How do you feel now? (look how happy she is in that picture!)

So failure happens. Sometimes we try at something and don’t succeed. But do we lie there whining and feeling sorry for ourselves?
I wasn’t telling my daughter to do what I hadn’t done myself. I’ve failed at a number of things and each time I learn a valuable lesson. What have you failed at?
Tonight at 7pm, join me as I tell “MY FAILURE STORY” with my brilliant friend and sister Omeyi Yangs @omeyispeaks on Instagram live.
I’m having palpitations, so please help my ministry by showing up to encourage me.
God bless you as you turn up. You could learn something too, or get a ministration- who knows? The first step is to SHOW UP.
See you at 7pm! My handle is @brenda_unu. If by chance you see this late and miss it, don't miss the replay. It would be up at @Omeyispeaks.
Love you!
