Hello
So maybe we have created a simulation of out process using HYSYS or Aspen Plus or any other simulation software.
Was it enough for the software to converge? Did we finish our process design?
Well, the answer is NO.
A process engineer should understand the inputs and outputs from the simulation software and how it shall affect the process. If the flow rates were not optimized, this would result in exaggerated sizes. If the equipment arrangement is not well considered, this may lead to higher operating cost and hydraulic calculations that are difficult to handle, and so on.
In today's article, we have talked about "Process Simulation: Its Role, Inputs, and Outputs".
It addresses the significance of a proper process simulation in a project and how it affects the downstream process activities, which in turn affect the other engineering activities leading to effects on project cost and schedule.

P.S. I am currently working on a huge update including new courses that shall be added to the existing courses and shall lead the cost of process engineering masterclass to be raised. We shall talk about the new courses/updates in later emails. However, for process engineering masterclass students already enrolled before new courses release, they shall already have it for free. If you haven't yet, you can still have the chance to access process engineering masterclass at the current lowest price.
