with crisp cold air.
As you are reading this I am probably on a plane flying back from Colorado Springs, CO where I've spent the last few days. I hope at this point I've learned a lot and strengthened friendships, maybe made some new friends. I know for sure I'll have hung out with Marisa Wolf, Katie Cross, Melissa Dalton-Martinez, and William Joseph Roberts. But hopefully so many more this would be nothing but a list of names.
I'm also giving a short (like micro) version of my talk on Art after Grief. I hope it helps people to find their love of their arts again. And I hope I can talk fast enough. Fifteen minutes isn't much time. But either way I'm still going to try to get some words done in the mornings as I'm sure I'll be awake way before anyone else.
I'm hoping Balanced Luck will be pushed up in audio soon, we've just been running into some obstacles, but I know it is almost done. It should be available on my store, as will the ebook. So be sure to grab them here.
Hopefully I'll have new stories out for you soon and remember to share all this with friends and family that aren't addicted to me yet - I'm a benevolent ruler, I promise.

Weekly Micro Story
All Fall Down
I rose into the air, each inch pulling me further from the destruction. I could still hear the screams of the dead. Higher I rose as the earth below me broke into pieces. I should care about the dead, but why? I hadn't killed them. No, they had done this to themselves.
A little voice in the back of my mind cried for the dead, for the friends, for the family, but I ignored it. The entire reason I was here was to protect that child. They had hurt her, abused her, now I was here and no one would ever hurt her again. The dirts and clumps of building floating around me were annoying, so I let them go. My control over the power was more exact now.
"This is the government. Land and put your hands on your head," a voice barked out from behind me.
Slowly I rotated, still floating. I was figuring out my powers quickly. They had assumed she was an earth mage or mutant or something. Now with them dead and her protected deep inside me, I had the luxury to figure out these powers. Powers they had given her, then been mad that she couldn't use them they way they wanted.
I looked down at my arms, the bruises, the needle marks, the rash from straps. Oh yes, they would never hurt her again. She had cried at night and minute by minute I had been created. Part by her, part by the past, but it no longer mattered, I was here.
"Land or we will fire."
The voices, I slowly looked up and saw men with guns and behind them the man who had done all of this and I smiled. It wasn't earth I controlled, it was gravity.
The horror in their eyes as I collapsed the building underneath them was the sweetest treat they'd ever given me.

This one interests me. I've been on a morally gray kick lately and this is a mix of Firestarter by Stephen King and the idea of Multiple Personalities. Yes I know it is called Disassociated Identity Disorder now, but I still like the MPD idea. If you controlled gravity and had three people in your brain - what would you do? I think it goes Bruce Bannery - with everyone chasing her, but what then? Hmmm
Don't forget my store has books in ebook, paper, and audio you can purchase. And the ebooks of Twisted Luck are available there now too!
