And the race begins!

But, before I talk about Dragoncon - Exiles' Refrain will be LIVE TOMORROW!!! I know it is less than 24 hours, but AHHHH. I'm stressed. My books are so weird and what if you hate it? I guess it is good that I'll be at Dragoncon, I won't be able to stress if people like it. Don't forget you can order a physical book from me and I'll get it shipped out (but after Dragoncon). They are so pretty and the designs inside and out are gorgeous. If you want to get a physical copy, you can find them here. But you can read it on Kindle Unlimited and it is a long book, so be ready for this. Exiles' Refrain is almost here!

Now for my crazy Dragoncon Schedule.

Look at that crazy timeline. Then I'll be in the booth at the America's Mart all the other times. Though I might grab food, maybe. The dealer hall hours are 10-7pm every day but Monday. Monday we shut down at 5 pm cause we will all be ready to go home. As you can see I have some really cool panels and can't wait to talk about my books and all the other stuff. I hope you will come see me there.

Book Recommendations!

A water microbiologist, a water crisis, and aliens are not the usual mix. When Sophia McFadden goes to Romala, threats are just the beginning. Check out Mayim a free novella and see how she manages to escape.

Difference

The lone figure trudged through the snow, the black garments standing out like soot stains on flour. Over the hours it moved closer to my location, my prison, but I did nothing. Eventually notice would be taken, until then it gave me something to watch.

Scenarios spun through my mind. Knight looking for a princess? Explorer hunting for treasure? Heretic looking to preach? Hunter lost on the wastes?

None were anymore more or less likely than the other. None would make a difference to me.

A bell rang through the keep signaling an end to my entertainment. Notice taken. The commands came, and I felt the strings of control wrapping around my very being. I went with it. Over the centuries I had learned fighting wasn't worth the pain. I would never be free, not even to death, so why suffer more than I had to? All I could hope at this point was that the keepers of the knowledge would die sudden deaths and there would be no one to control me. But that was as likely as the sun not rising, so I spent little time on that wisp of dreams.

"Go, capture them and bring them back here," my master ordered. The latest in a very long line.

I made no reply, it was the few ways I could rebel. I stretched my body, then leapt into the air, heading for the poor bastard. A few centuries ago I might have pitied them. Now I just hoped they lived long enough to be distracting.

It was only a single being, so I landed in front of it, hoping to stretch out the distraction. My forearm stretched out to seize the person, when their face lifted to me. Bright green eyes, the color of a new leaves caught mine. Framed by hair of golden wheat and a smile that held something I dare not name.

"I heard there was a dragon in need of rescue. Is that you?"

Hope burst into my chest hotter than my most lethal fire as I looked at the princess before me.

 ~*~

Okay I now want to know what happens, how was it trapped, who kept it, who is the princess? Argh.
