New Banner, New Year.
I know it seems like forever since I had a book out, but the wait is almost over. The three books are edited, the proof reader is finishing stuff up. But for you I have the prequel.

Weekly Micro Story
Salmon Sushi
Carelian backed into the darkness watching his prey with intensity that he rarely showed. The culprit moved about the room, unaware of his gaze.
The smell of salmon filled the air and his nose twitched. The scent made salvia pool in his mouth and he swallowed silently as he watched. There, the tray of fresh salmon sushi was set down on the counter. As Jo moved away from the tray, carelian made his move. On soundless paws he dashed over and stood at the bar and reached for the first piece of sushi.
"Don't you care, you furry menace," Jo said, whirling to glare at him.
Carelian looked at her his paw half way to the tray, thumb and forefinger in grabbing pose. ~Or what?~ he asked staring at her unflinching.
The smile that crossed Jo's face was chilling. "Or I'll tell Cori I saw fleas on you. Without magic she won't know I'm lying and you know you'll get a flea bath. Just to be sure."
Carelian pulled back in shocked horror and a bit of respect. ~You wouldn't.~
"Those are for Shay, Scott, Sloane, and your mother. So you tell me. Would I?"
The battle rage for a moment then he sighed and sank back down. ~Fine. But I get some later.~
Jo looked at him funny. "Of course you do. I even made some with the left over tentacles of the sea monster. "
~Snatching it would have been more entertaining,~ he said stalking out of the kitchen.
Jo laughed and called after him. "Maybe, but then you would've only gotten one piece and I would have given the tentacles to Esmere."
Defeated he went to lay in the back yard in the sun. Salmon would have to wait, but now there was also calamari. Life was good.

I have so much planned for 2025, but for now I'm going to enjoy the last few days of time off!
