aka Where do I go from here?
Noble's Luck has launched and you get a glimpse of how the world started to change in that trilogy. If you haven't read them, you can grab them here.
But I'm sure you're asking what is next. Well.... book 1 of the new Cori at Large (CaL) trilogy was finished on Friday. I'm planning a quick trilogy with our favorite not mage, dealing with all the changes the Merging brought about. Hopefully I will have covers and titles for you in a month or two. I am writing these as fast as I can, so I haven't decided my launch strategy yet. My bottle neck might be editing and covers. But that also means I'm going to be ready for some new beta readers, especially anyone that has read the first series so you can tell me when I break my own rules. You can sign up here: ARC Readers.
I'm now 2 books into my 7 books this year and glaring at the calendar. It is just my goals, but I would like to reach them. I think if I plot better I can write faster as I know what is going on. But we will see. I might write a book in between CaL 2 and 3 because it is starting to gnaw at me.
If you want to see me talk to an AMAZING group of authors, check out this panel on Youtube. https://youtu.be/u_f2PctaIDc
The demo of my shed and backyard started this weekend, so hopefully I don't hurt too much by Monday so I can hit the ground typing fast.

Weekly Micro Story
Remains
The skulls of the old gods had provided food and metals for them for decades, but now they were just skulls polished clean of every scrap of sustenance. If the bones would break those would have been used as well, but they just sat there gleaming in mockery.
Nath trudge through the area, his torch held high, looking for anything that might be scrounged. Most of his people had moved on to bodies further west, ones that had not be touched by more than animals. The meat of the gods lasted for centuries before they started to rot, something about being immune to the frailties of mortals.
But when your parents died in the last big war and the village feed you only because they knew the winners of this battle watched, even an extra few scraps of edible or usable remains could make the different between a month with almost enough to eat and a month where water was your main food source.
The torch was mainly for his comfort. His feet did most of the searching. The marshes created by the impact of the gods were uninhabited by animals even insects. You had to cook the meat for a long time for it to be safe for humans. So nothing else would come near their bodies. But if he could find a finger or a toe, that would be enough for food for a while.
His feet squished through the mud and plant life that would wrap around the remains, keeping them safe. Nath found wood, bits of armor, a long strand of hair he neatly looped up. The hair made excellent rope and nets. The creaking and groaning of the carts and animals was almost inaudible, so he had little time. One more pass, then he would have to run to keep up.
With a sigh he turned as his toes caught on something. With a spark of hope he dug under the mud and water to bring it up. He scraped off the mud to bring it up and stared at the large pink teardrop shaped object. Fleshy, but what was it. His eyes widened as he placed it. It was the weird thing that hung in the back of your throat. Meat!
Wrapping it up in his shirt he scampered back to the wagon train looking for Cook Kar. She'd make sure he'd eat for a month with this.

For those keeping track I'm at 186k so far this year. Not bad. And I'll work on getting the paper copies of Noble's Luck into my store by summer. I need Amazon to pay me before I can order too many.
