My epic fantasy is out with beta's and I have an editing slot for mid-April so I am hoping that book should be available in June or July. Like I said it is a chonky book at 214k and that is before the edits, which I suspect will add to it. I'm working on the Cori at Large trilogy. Hopefully these I can write and release a bit faster. My goal this year was to write 7 books, and I feel like I'm behind already, but Aria was book 1, so I'm working on it.
Otherwise I'm in the middle of trying to do remodeling and how much I can do myself versus having to hire people. I have the knowledge and YouTube, what I don't have is the energy or strength. Where are a bunch of bored teenagers that want to earn money when you need them?

Weekly Micro Story
Fire
Marciel stood as the flames grew around her. There was no where to go and running or screaming would make no difference. Instead she walked forward. Death was certain, but then no one lived forever, at least now she could control her exit from life.
The heat was omnipresent and the parasol, the last thing she had from her mother, was turning to ash as she held it in hands that were blistering. An inhale that had her lungs seizing on the heat and she felt her chest tighten in reaction.
Relax. It will soon be over.
Her internal words fought with her animal hindbrain, the one that wanted to run from all this destruction, this chaos, to live, to make it to her eighteenth birthday. But wants and wishes meant nothing now. All that existed was fire and death. So she embraced both. Tilting her head back, letting the ashed parasol fall from her hands, she screamed her rage to the universe.
The flames roared up in response, and she waited of the pain to end, but it receded. Marciel sucked in a breath, hoping the smoke would kill her first, but the air while smoky, didn't make her cough or choke. Heat washed through her and she could feel every temperature difference, the taste of the fuel for the flame.
Confused she opened her eyes and looked at her hand, but instead of skin there was burnt meat with magma flowing through it where her veins should have been. She felt her face, but all she could tell was she still existed, though now instead of hair she had flames. Looking to her right, she glanced at a burning pole, and wished it would go away. The flames snuffed out.
Burn.
The thought was simple and the pole burst into flames, a hundred times hotter than what had bene there. A few more minutes of experimenting and she started to laugh. Every chuckle pushing out flames.
"I am Fire," she said with a laugh and turned, heading toward the army that had destroyed her home.
"I am vengeance."

I'm writing, but once again everything takes longer. Per my word count tracker I have written 156,852 words this year. About 90% are story words as it also tracks any plot notes I make. But still, I want more stories out and I'm trying to write better stories. So keep talking about me to friends, so I can get more story out.
