The Pre-Order is Live!

I am panicking a tiny bit as I put Unbalanced Luck up for pre-order and I don't have the book to my editor yet. I'm working on the edits this weekend, so hopefully Monday night she'll have it. But either way, take a look at this.

So far my beta's have enjoyed it, though I do need to fix a few things, but I'm so excited it is done. And I'm already over 10k into Balanced Luck. Which will be out later this year.

The narrator is fixing Faded Luck so it looks like she will start Unbalanced Luck by the end of the month, so yay!

But the other news of the week is SALES! I got a BookBub. Now if you don't know what that means it is basically the Holy Grail of sales newsletters and I got one for My Luck. Plus No Choice is on sale and wide. So if you like other retailers besides Amazon, No Choice is everywhere.

My Luck will be on sale in all markets tomorrow for approximately .99 and the translated versions of German and French, will also be on sale for .99. So check it out TOMORROW.

Then No Choice is everywhere at .99 NOW. I'll probably pull it off sale later this week, so if you've been wanting to try it, now is your chance.

Laughs - as you can tell I've been busy. I'm writing, doing yoga, walking. Maybe life is settling down. I still need to deal with aspects of my mom's estate but most of it is dealt with. One large thing left and that looks likely to happen the weekend of May 6th. But I'm settling into the groove.

While you wait for me to get everything launched, check out a friend's book - Never Steal from Dragons. Which honestly should be obvious, dragons are dangerous. Patrick is awesome so you should check it out.

Welcome to Hub!

Just a few simple rules apply:

1. Never Steal from Dragons

2. See Rule #1

3. Never Work for Dragons

In Hub, a city of treachery and deceit, Gelsey, a pixie, is one of the best thieves around. When a smash and grab assignment turns into a job interview with a powerful dragon, Gelsey finds herself a part of a crew including five more of the best criminals Hub has to offer.

This week I'm in a weird headspace all about hope and having it dashed. Enjoy.

Possibilities

The wormhole streamed light, color, and gasses out of it. Johanna watched out the window of the International Space Station, unable to take her eyes off of it.

"Do you think they know?" Kevin, her fellow astronaut asked at her side. He too was glued to a window.

"Who and what?" Johanna asked absently, entranced by what she was seeing.

"Houston, do you think they know?"

That registered and she pulled back. It took effort to drag her eyes away and check the instruments. "Don't know. I think the moon's shielding it from being visible to Earth. But eventually the satellites should register something is going on."

"Okay. We probably should tell them." His voice was soft and she didn't blame him. In all her years of dreaming, of struggling to be up here, to see Earth from space, this possibility never occurred to her.

"Yeah. In a minute. I just…" she trailed off unsure how to express her emotions.

"Me too. In a minute." His voice reassured her and she watched with a feeling of transcendent joy.

Then large black shapes came darting out, lumpy and ugly against the beauty of the phenomena.

"Oh," she whispered.

"Fuck," Kevin muttered just as quietly as she had. "So much for that."

Johanna thought about crying as she watched something so beautiful and precious get destroyed. She didn't know how to explain the feeling of watching a butterfly get crushed by a boot. Instead she fell back on her training, shoving her feelings down deep.

"Houston, this ISS. We have a code Zulu Zulu Zulu. Repeat we have a code Zulu Zulu Zulu."

"What the fuck?" Houston squeaked. She didn't respond, just watched the aliens dart toward them.

So much for possibilities, this one had never occurred to her either.

Now back to planning for my first camping trip, editing, and of course-writing. Balanced Luck is so kick ass I swear.
