3 Ways to mental clarity, less stress and better personal wellness

Hello Dear Friends,

How are you doing?

I have been reflecting on wellness, choice, agency and our pivotal role in our own rescue. You can check out my LinkedIn post on this topic today: HERE

So today I'd like to share 3 Ways to mental clarity & less stress and better personal wellness:

1 Awareness & Acceptance

The brain is a clever organ, "wired to help us to survive". It's brilliant in doing things to keep us from harm and perceived danger. With that said, this where it can become tricky in spotting when we've fallen into a trap where we believe the "brain's danger story" and we don't think or challenge or selves to take another look at what's really going on. Only when we are 'truly aware of circumstances" can we decide what action to take because there is always action that you can take.

2 Get an external perspective from a trusted source who can help you

Your friends are brilliant. I have some pretty amazing friends. However, my friends are not Therapists, Doctors, Coaches, Trade Union Representatives or Employment Law Solicitors for Employees. You get my point, my point is that sometimes you do need specialist help and support. Your friends can provide you with emotional support and be there for you, but unless they are a named professional, they may not always be the best source of advice. So be proactive and reach out to your network and find a trusted professional to work with.

3 Take Small & Simple Actions

I'm gonna be real with you, taking care of your own personal wellbeing is a complicated task. Sometimes we are really on it and sometimes we neglect ourselves to our own detriment and un-wellness. Simply I say start small, tell a friend and get support and celebrate your wins no matter their size in your progress towards the person you want to be. Your personal wellness regime is personal. It needs to be active and not dormant, because you are pivotal to your own wellness.

Warm Regards,

Ekua ðŸ’›
