Do you record and acknowledge your success?

Hello Dear Friends,

How are you doing?

I hope you're well.

I was in my coaching session today and we were reflecting on success habits and creating a routine that will help you to thrive and grow.

Everyone loves to receive praise!

I know I do.

But then it can be complicated depending on "the notion of success" you were raised with and that can get complicated a lead us down a rabbit hole of do you have a "healthy understanding of what success is". For the purposes of this discussion, I will park this issue and simply say if celebrating your success really triggers you, then you may need to seek some professional help.

Taking it from a perspective, that success means that you have achieved something that you're proud of, I'd like us to reflect on how do we as individuals acknowledge that success.

I think we can have a tendency to move on too quickly after we have indeed achieved success.

We were discussing in this session healthy ways to acknowledge success. And it came to my notice, that although I do have practices to acknowledge my success, that actually I need to deepen this practice to help me "feel it" and "see it".

One of the things I advocate in your success acknowledgement practices is something I don't actually do myself YET!

And that is to have my own visual "Wins Hall of Fame", it's a Vision Board with your wins.

I've decided that I would like to see both my goals and my success visually.

And how does this ties back to neurodiversity and well-being? It is that I don't consider myself to be a "visual person" and part of my Dyscualia means that I have a weaker visualisation part of my brain.

And I let that thought blind me from my own needs! Because as much as that is true, it does not stop me from looking at photos or awards and feeling an emotional connection to past wins!

What I'm saying is don't let what you think you know about yourself stop you from trying out new things because, it may just be the thing you're not doing that leads you to better well-being, new ideas and personal growth.

Hit reply and let me know what you do to acknowledge your success in a healthy way?

Warm Regards,

Ekua 💛
