I hope you're well. I just got back from my business trip to Portugal. More about that soon!

Part of the job of a facilitator is to listen. Is to read the room and to discern how best to deliver their content. I think we can also apply some of this thinking when we are getting ready to receive feedback.

But first, are you "Guilty of any of these 4 Listening Sins"?

❌ Listening only to respond!

❌ Not fully listening and anticipating what will be said before it is said!

❌ Being defensive and not willing to listen.

❌ Listening only to defend your corner or position!

Yes, me too! 😳😳🤦🏾‍♀️ 🤦🏾‍♀️ 

I am a reformed character, now I listen with curiosity and with more openness. It's a skill I am continuing to work at and have yielded the benefits from that have helped me to get unstuck and to move forwards.
