Hello Dear Friends,
I hope you're well.
Today I'm focussing on well-being and financial fitness.
At this time of year you, your employees and friends and family may be thinking about giving gifts and spending on one another. Christmas time can be a financial stressor.
If added to the lense of neurodiversity it can be a difficult time with those people that have ADHD in terms of managing their impulses to send, and potentially indulge in unhealthy seasonal activities relating to addiction. Neurodiverse people with high levels of empathy may find this time of year challenging in terms of managing their energy, because they may be involved in many charitable and social endeavours. They need to be mindful of over-giving and not ending up Burnt out over Christmas. Check in on those people to see how they are doing, be empathic and sign-post them to support as necessary.
It's also helpful to provide or make available information to employees about getting support with financial difficulties and debts from reputable support, in the UK the Money Helper is a good place for free advice.
Supporting all employees to work on financial fitness is beneficial for mental health and well-being. I'm sharing 4 articles on tips for financial fitness below:

Final thoughts for the road, as much as it is nice to give gifts, the best gifts are priceless and come in the form of time spent together. Simple things like doing activities together and taking the time to really relax and be present create everlasting memories and experiences.
