In this week's edition of Human Google, I'm talking about how to actively manage your stress. I also wanted to share with you that sources of stress can be heightened for particular employee groups that face challenges in the workplace due to their race, gender or ethnicity. Here are 3 ways to manage Stress:


1 Schedule time for rest & exercise


We all know that getting good sleep and exercising really help to keep us active energised and less stressed. Have you got a good sleep routine sorted? Do you make time for exercise in your weekly schedule? Today is new day, just choose 1 thing and start small!


2 Take Control of your Negative and Passive Thoughts


Sometimes we don't help ourselves, myself included! We think and obsess over things that we have no control over and this causes us stress, anxiety and worry. So work on thinking more solutions focussed thoughts, like, "How can I or What can I do to do it differently next time?"


3 Stay Connected & Social


We are social beings, so it's important that we spend time connecting with family and friends especially when we feel stressed. Connected with those that we care about helps us to feel supported, know we're not alone and ask for the help that we need.


With this in mind I encourage you to take 5 mins out from your day today, to just do some breathing exercises, 6 deep breaths in and out and focus on the breathing and clearing your mind of thoughts. Have a great day ahead.
