The Bias still persists & here's what you can do about it!

Hello Dear Friends,

How are you doing?

Happy International Women's Day. The theme for this year is "Breaking the Bias". The bias still exists on many fronts for all women and especially women from minority backgrounds. Here are 3 things your organisation can do to "Break the Bias".

1 Invest in Inclusive Training

Awareness gives you the choice and freedom to take action. By investing in Inclusive training you gain knowledge, create understanding and the opportunity to retain your diverse and minority staff.

2 Commit to Public Targets to "Break the Bias"

Internal targets are great. We all know that the reality of having a public target put's a good pressure on your organisation to act and to demonstrate results and progress towards their goal.

3 Review your Performance Data with HR & Your Leadership Team

Your organisation and HR team will have data on performance for all of your people and your teams. Undertake an exercise to review that data and challenge your company in regards to "unconscious-bias" and looking into how do women and minority employees do in comparison to other employees.

I am delighted to announce that I am launching the Be Your No.1 Black Woman and Women of Colour Career Cheerleader of the year Award. I am looking for sponsors and nominations. Please submit your nomination: HERE Hit reply with "Career Cheerleader Awards" if you'd like more info.

Wishing you every success as we approach the close of the first quarter.

Warm Regards,

Ekua ðŸ’›
