I get soo Emotional - Every time I look at You!

Hello Dear Friends,

I hope you're well.

Apart from that being a really good Whitney Houston Song, So Emotional.

It is hook for me to sharing some more insights about ADHD as experienced by women.

I'm having deja vu, I know I've talked about this topic in this newsletter before!

I'm back onto because I think it's a really important issue to understand from the following perspectives:

  • Having intense feelings can be sometimes difficult to manage when it comes to negative end of the spectrum
  • And could manifest in procrastination
  • A lack of focus on delivery
  • If comorbidity with mental health conditions are present then anxiety, depression

Also it gives me the opportunity to share this article from a newly qualified Doctor about her experience of getting an ADHD diagnosis and her insights on emotional dysregulation and navigating the workplace. You can read that: HERE

And because sharing is caring, I've been having a lot of conversations about how to support neurodiverse employees in the workplace and deal with issues like "poor performance" or supporting undisclosed neurodivergent people in your place.

I take this opportunity to remind you of 3 things:

✅ Your organisation hired this person because they are talented, capable and able

✅ You organisation needs difference for it thrive, be creative and to succeed

✅ Label, disclosure, non-disclosure - We are All HUMAN - So ask questions, be curious and empathetic.

And finally I'm on count down to my next in person event!

You're invited to join my FREE in person Networking Event for Senior ADHD professionals taking place on 20th Oct at 6:30pm. You can sign-up: HERE

I hope you have a great day ahead.

Warm Regards,

Ekua 💛
