Heritage and Heart: Love Wins This November!

Happy November, Honeys!
First off, I apologize for being late with this newsletter. October was exceptionally stressful, as I'll explain shortly.
As we settle into the quieter rhythms of November—whether adjusting to Eastern Standard Time or staying put where Daylight Saving Time isn’t observed—we pause to remember, give thanks, and reflect. This month in the United States, in addition to shining a light on pancreatic cancer research, we celebrate Thanksgiving and honor writers, veterans, and Native American heritage. As we celebrate resilience in all its forms, I invite you to join me in honoring the stories that comfort us and keep love alive, and that commemorate the voices that endure.
To that end, let me remind you about Love Wins: Stories of Heat, Heart, and Hope. As you know, I have organized this charity anthology to honor and celebrate the legacy of Twyla Turner, a writer whose life and work embodied the joy of connection and the power of love to heal. And here's a sneak peek at the draft cover ... please do not share at this time!
Pre-orders for Love Wins will go live on November 25 -- MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
The anthology will include ten short stories and novellas. Between now and the end of February, I will introduce you to the authors whose work will be included in it. As a consequence, you will receive two newsletters each month until then.
Today's book recommendations highlight the short stories and novellas of Alexa Santi, one of the writers whose work will appear in Love Wins. If you like short and sweet---or short and spicy, as the case may be--- you'll enjoy the two stories I've chosen from Alexa's bookshelf to share with you. From historical to contemporary, Alexa's interracial couples will delight you.
Mishaps and Majors and It's Only Christmas are both available on Amazon.
Finally, I celebrated another tour around the sun on October 31. Thanks to all of you who sent me good wishes. I truly appreciate your kindness.
I had a wonderful day (see above), despite the worry of the week, as my island, Jamaica, was ravaged and destroyed by Hurricane Melissa. Please consider contributing to the island's recovery efforts at these links:

In every act of generosity—whether rebuilding homes or funding research—we live the truth behind Love Wins. This November, may our reading, our giving, and our gratitude remind us that love isn’t just something we feel. It’s something we do.
À bientôt,
