Another Chicken Tractor Done, Dragonblooded Fun
Jul 06, 2023 5:31 pm
Hey there!
Every week I'm constantly aware of all the 'things' that need to get done. We've have the 2nd chicken tractor hanging over our heads for weeks now, and I'm happy to say that during the 4th of July I was able to crank it out and get it done. Now another batch of egg layer chickens can go pasture in our fields! They'll be a lot happier out there for sure.
Given that editing is not really my favorite thing to do (if I could skip it I probably would), I needed a little motivation to get me to keep pushing through. I'm about 2/3 done with my first self-edit of Dragonblooded (still hoping to get it to BETA readers in the next two weeks) but it still feels like a big hurdle. So I spent some time messing around with Midjourney to figure out what I might want to do with the covers for this 6 book series! I'll tag a few of the images I generated as ideas at the bottom.
Book 2 of the Kids of Cybercity is moving along at a nice pace again now that my co-author is back from vacation. I finished another action-packed chapter yesterday, and even just thinking about it has me geeking out. We're hoping to get these books publish ready by the end of the year with the potential of publishing either late this year or early next year.
New Podcast Episode
Many people have the dream to write a book their whole lives but may have not started because they felt it's too late to get into the market. Join JL Lycette and me as we discuss it's never too late to get started.
And Now for the Free Book of the week!
Here's some renderings for Dragonblooded and for the next book (any guesses on the name of book 2?)
warm regards,
Dan
