Bye Bye Bottle Babies, Hello Editing!
Jun 29, 2023 3:54 pm
Hey there!
There's a time and season for everything, and for now our bottle goat babies are gone. If you recall, one of them we had to bottle feed to bring her back from the brink of death. She's happy and thriving, and now living with our neighbors! Ari, the other bottle baby, went along with her. We'll miss them (my son most of all) but that means more time back in our schedules now that I don't have to go out and feed them regularly. It also leaves just Mallow as the other friendly goat kid (see pick of me and Mallow at the end).
I'm thrilled to say that I'm about halfway through the first edit of Dragonblooded, and I'm loving every second of it. This is unusual for me, because normally editing makes me want to beat my head against the wall. So far, I've been impressed with my writing and story crafting. That's a good feeling to have! There's still a chance to be a BETA reader if you're interested. It should be ready in about three weeks. (Hopefully I can pump it through Pro Writing Aid first as well, but if not you'll still get it then.)
This week I read 'Your Author Business Plan' by Joanna Penn, and it's clear I need to formalize an actual business plan. (What?! The pantser is going to actually plan something? I know, I'm shocked at myself). Most likely this won't mean anything for my email list, you'll still get this every week, but it may change how the podcast is run. I'll need to decide if I'm going to keep it up, slow it down, or change it completely. Keep an eye out for that update soon.

Gil was a regular guy before he was transported to another world. In a world of magic and monsters, he must struggle to survive. Here he is, the chosen one.
But the world is familiar to him. It reminds him of his favorite RPG video game but now he is living it. When monsters attack him, the pain and struggle are real.
Does he have what it takes to be the Warrior of Light?
In this new found fantasy world, he first encounters a female thief who reminds him strangely of a beautiful young woman from his past—in the real world. Will she be the key to unlocking the secret of his quest in Ultimate Fantasy?
This is a LitRPG, Epic Fantasy, Harem Fantasy and Video Game Parody.
I'm pretty sure Mallow is going to be thrilled to be getting more attention now. She's always jumping up on us and wanting us to hold her front hooves.
warm regards,
Dan
