One of the hardest parts of exercising is staying motivated.

People start their journey with workouts they don't enjoy doing, eating meals they don't like, and are surprised when they can't stay consistent.

A great way to solve this problem is finding something, even one thing, that's fun to do.

For me, that's handstands. If you're looking for something to help motivate you, handstands might be worth considering.

Luckily for you, I just released a FREE handstand tutorial on my YouTube channel.

Now you may be thinking, is there any point to learning how to do a handstand other than being able to show off?

The simple answer is...yes! Here's why 👇

Lifestyle

As I mentioned earlier, staying motivated with fitness can be difficult. But the most important thing is to remain consistent and doing something is always better than doing nothing.

On the days you don't feel like going for a jog or lifting weights, practicing handstands can be a great way to stay active without feeling like you're working out.

You won't be lifting weights over and over which will always feel like work. Instead, you'll be solving the puzzle of balancing on your hands which could end up feeling more like playing a game.

Strength

This might be the most underrated aspect of learning how to do handstands. They help you build strength!

Have you ever been on your feet all day at a concert or amusement park? Your legs are tired and you aren't even doing much. You're just standing!

Now imagine what 5-10 minutes of practice feels like for your arms when they're never used for keeping your body upright. It's a lot of work!

Find anyone who is good at doing handstands and I guarantee you'll find someone with well developed arm and back muscles.

Focus

In today's society people struggle more than ever to stay focused on a task. Notifications on your phone or computer can easily pull you away from whatever you're doing.

Handstands require complete focus. If you're not focused, you fall.

In order to stay balanced you're constantly making small adjustments in your hands, arms, and legs to stay upright.

If you have issues staying focused, practicing focus will help and handstands are a great way to help develop that skill.

Make new friends or..."friends" 😉

People feel more alone than ever these days and with more people working from home, that's only going to get worse.

If you're trying to make new friends or attract a romantic partner, you can attract these people to you without saying a word.

Whether I'm practicing in the gym or at a park, I've had numerous people approach me just because I'm doing handstands.

They want to take pictures, ask questions, and sometimes they also do handstands.

Doing cool things attracts people to you and the conversation is already rolling without you having to do any of the work - other than practicing of course!

If you decide to start practicing handstands, keep me updated on how it goes!
