NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2020
Well COVID 19 is still causing us problems but also presenting opportunities. As there are no productions on is this the time to look at cleaning and maintain your stage lighting? Apart from the legal obligation it is good house keeping.
Do you keep your venue clean? Then why not…..
We come to you and de-rig your lights and clean and maintain them properly. Some people just put a sticker on and call it done, pity they have not read the regulations. We open the plug and check that the terminals are tight and then PAT test the item before re-rigging and focussing better. We will also replace missing washers etc and if necessary safety bonds if your chains are failures. These are chargeable but you get the rig back in a proper working and safe condition. If the cable is not suitable or in good condition we will advise and rectify.

NEW PRODUCTS…
The MP75 LED Fresnel is a 75watt RGBW Fresnel with barndoors which is about the same size and brightness as a 650 watt conventional but produces colour from the one unit. You would need less lanterns as you change the colour from the lighting desk. You may need to change your lighting desk as well but it would be best for us to visit you and assess your needs. Site visits are free of charge. The MP75 is also cheaper than a conventional fitting and uses far less power so better value all round.
The full technical spec can be found by clicking this link here to our LED brochure.
At a recent service visit we found that someone had been too enthusiastic at tightening the hook clamps. There is no need to see if you can put a hole in the lighting bar. We now have a wingnut spanner to solve this problem. It also has 10 other functions such as spanner points for M4-M12 ….OH, AND A BOTTLE OPENER! It comes with a belt pouch and at just £20 it solves a lot of problems. Would make a perfect Christmas gift for a Techie!
PANTOMIME….
Did you know that prior to 1851 which is when we got traditional role reversal Pantomime they could be happy or sad, long or short but performed at Easter AND best if on April the first (April fools day and next year it is on Maundy Thursday just before Easter) …..So is that an idea, …..to revive an even older tradition? It could be that we then have the Christmas Panto so two in one year……….just putting it out there.
We have updated our main brochure and can be downloaded by clicking on this link here
Please call to discuss your needs and remember site visits are free!
