Hello from David Fitch Services.
We are a stage lighting company working mainly in the Education sector. Established in 1981 we supply schools and colleges with stage lighting, sound and curtains. Please forward this email to your Drama department.
We have our hire department for lighting sound and props and our brochures can be found online at www.davidfitchservices.com/brochures
Also we have our installation team working on new and upgrade projects using the best and best value for money modern equipment to allow you to get the best from your equipment. Here are a couple of recent examples:
Coombe Girl's School
New drama studio lighting, sound & Curtains!
Farrington's School new LED Lighting
One of the other services we offer is to clean and PAT test the stage lighting rig along with rehanging and focussing to get the best from it. It’s a mucky job but someone has to do it. Some people use the general electrician and we often find the labels on the hottest part of the lantern and the lens’s not cleaned ( they should read the Electricity at work regulations). For us it is not a stickering job but a PROPER JOB!
Here is an excerpt from our main brochure:
AT A RECENT SITE VISIT WE FOUND THAT THE LED FIXTURES HAD BEEN LEFT ON 24/7/365 FOR 4 YEARS SINCE WE INSTALLED THEM. DUST AND DIRT CAUSED FAILURE OF THE FANS AND FIXTURE…… AND A BIG BILL, ALL FOR LACK OF SIMPLE MAINTENANCE. THE CONVENTIONAL LIGHTS HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED OR PAT TESTED FOR 27 YEARS ! ………GRIMMMMM CONDITION !
RIGHT, THE PLUG STILL WORKED WITHOUT THE EARTH AND THE CORD GRIP WAS LOOSE BUT WE CORRECTED IT TO MAKE IT SAFE.
Each job is individual so we would be pleased to visit to advise the best way forward, site visits are free of charge.
