TidyCal Updates: New Features & Improvements

We've been hard at work on some big updates for TidyCal.

Here's what we've shipped recently:

Recurring Bookings with Automatic Billing 🔄💳

You can now create booking types for recurring appointments! This is one of our most-requested features.

How it works:

• Set any booking type to repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly
• Bookers select their start date and series length during booking
• For paid booking types, each session is automatically charged
• Sell session packages - set a fixed number of bookings and offer upfront or per-session payment
• Manage entire series from your bookings dashboard - cancel one or all remaining sessions
• Calendar events sync for each session in the series

This is perfect for coaching sessions, regular consultations, group calls, or any service that meets on a recurring basis.

Centralized Availability Schedules 📅

Managing availability across multiple booking types just got much easier.

Instead of setting availability separately for each booking type, you can now create named availability schedules and assign them to multiple booking types at once.

What this means for you:

• Create schedules like "Work Hours", "Coaching Availability", or "Weekend Only"
• Link any booking type to a schedule - changes automatically apply everywhere
• Still override with custom availability on specific booking types when needed
• Your existing availability settings were automatically migrated

This feature makes it simple to update your availability once and have it apply across all relevant booking types.

2026 Design Refresh ✨

We've completely refreshed the TidyCal interface for 2026.

What's new:

• Drawer-based booking type editor - Edit all settings in a slide-out panel without leaving the booking types page
• Modernized dashboard - Clean, card-based layout with improved navigation
• Faster navigation - Improved backend to make clicking around feel instant
• Updated settings pages - All settings and integrations pages redesigned
• Improved mobile experience - Better responsive layouts across all pages

The new design maintains everything you love about TidyCal while making it faster and more intuitive to use.

• Pre-built theme templates - Pick from 18 professionally designed themes across 6 categories (Corporate, Coach, Creative, Minimal, Dark, Elegant) to quickly customize your booking page. For Individual and Agency Plan customers
• Disable device verification - New option in Settings to turn off device verification for accounts where email-based verification is problematic
• Searchable currency and timezone selectors - Filter through 150+ currencies or timezones with instant search in your settings
• Australian mobile phone validation - Fixed validation for Australian mobile numbers starting with 0493 and 0494 prefixes
• Team member emails in team editor - Easily see and verify team member email addresses when managing your team
• Default currency when enabling charges - Your account's currency setting now auto-populates when enabling paid bookings
• Calendar sync improvements - Fixed Apple Calendar sync errors when events are missing end times, improved recurring event transparency handling
• Round robin fixes - Fixed meeting links being shared incorrectly between hosts, corrected Reply-To headers, and resolved buffer time issues across timezones for Agency Plan customers
• Fix SMS reminder language - SMS reminders now display dates in the correct language based on locale for Individual Plan customers
• Booking page fixes - Fixed background images and theme colors not displaying, improved booking page loading reliability
• Team booking improvements - Fixed calendar events missing contact names, resolved 404 errors on team booking appearance settings for Agency Plan customers
• Booking pagination fix - Approving or rejecting pending bookings no longer resets you to page 1
• Date poll fixes - Fixed blank screen when viewing votes modal
• Cancellation email fix - Corrected incorrect "Cancelled by: Host" attribution in cancellation emails
• Multi-date booking fix - Fixed paid bookings with multiple dates only processing the first date
• Security and performance improvements - Various backend optimizations to reduce bad actors
• Localized booking confirmation - The redirect popup after booking now displays in the booker's language for all 39 supported languages
• Booking confirmation display fix - Fixed booking confirmations showing raw JSON when no location is configured instead of cleanly hiding the location line
• Team editor stability - Fixed the team editor drawer unexpectedly closing when editing the team's custom URL for link for Agency Plan customers
• Group bookings fix - Fixed display issues with group bookings in the bookings list for Individual and Agency Plan customers
• Google Calendar guest list fix - Fixed booking owners not appearing in Google Calendar event guest lists when using non-primary calendars
• Mobile improvements - Various mobile interface improvements for better usability on smaller screens
• Device verification stability - Fixed device verification re-triggering unnecessarily when browsers auto-update, reducing false verification prompts
• Zoom/Teams link regeneration - Fixed Zoom and Microsoft Teams meeting links not being regenerated when a rescheduled booking requires re-approval for Individual and Agency Plan customers
• Resend team invitations - Added ability to resend invitations for pending team members directly from the team editor for link for Agency Plan customers
