Happy September!

Hello, my darlings,
I've been out of school for longer than I like to think about and I don't have school age children, but September still feels like the marker of the beginning of a new year. Maybe it's because in my non-writer life I tutor. I don't know why. I do know I always want to buy shiny new notebooks and pens at this time of year. I'm also beginning to transition into fall. It's my favorite season, so while I don't want to rush time along, I am getting in the fall mood—I've put out some fall decorations already and my weekend baking was some cinnamon streusel muffins, which feel like a transition into the new season. I'm sure I will be reveling in all things autumn soon.
Last month, I was at the Queen of Hearts book fair, and it was so fun. If you signed up for the newsletter there, welcome! I'm so happy to have you here. I have another event—the Passaic County Book Fair—coming up at the end of this month. It's always a fun event with lots of local authors signing and selling books and panel discussions. I hope to see you there. I also have a virtual event coming up next month, during which I'll be on a panel and doing a reading. You can find the link to register (it's free!) below.
I'm still working on To Know a Dragon Spy, the second Dragons of Ivria book. You known by now that I'd hoped to have it in your hands last year and more books besides, but long covid messed up every one of my plans. But I'm inching closer to the end. I really hate that I keep saying that and then don't have release date news—I feel terrible about the delay, but I promise I'm doing my best to both get this book to you and make it the best it can possibly be.

To Love the Dragon King
Once upon a time, before the hunts, dragons were plentiful in the world. Now they exist only in legend…except in the land of Ivria.
Featured Backlist Book of the Month
Love was nothing they expected...but everything they needed.
Currently Reading
This book is so much fun so far! It's set in the same world as the Fantastic Fluke series (which I also enjoyed immensely), but you don't have to have read that series to read this.
Monthly Book Rec
With everything going on in the world, I absolutely needed something cozy and this absolutely fit the bill. There's an enchanted greenhouse and sentient plants and a flying cat and tiny dragons and magic and second chances and romance.
