Hello, my darlings,
And welcome to my new subscribers! I'm so glad you've joined us. I had a fantastic time at the Passaic County Book Festival a couple of weeks ago—meeting readers and filling in last minute on a romance panel discussion with my author friend Kimberly Ash. This past weekend, I participated in the Rainbow Space Magic virtual con. It's always a great conference with so many authors and readers of queer spec fic talking about books and writing. I read a bit from A Dance of Water and Air during a reading session and then took part in a panel about writing queer intimacy and desire. I'm still working on To Know a Dragon Spy, the second Dragons of Ivria book. You known by now that I'd hoped to have it in your hands last year and more books besides, but long covid messed up everything. I promise I'm doing my best to both get this book to you and make it the best it can possibly be, and I'll get you news as soon as I have it. Otherwise, I'm just enjoying the slide into autumn—pumpkins outside the front door, watching the leaves change on my walks, cooking and baking all the fall things.

Currently Reading
This is the second book in a series of paranormal mysteries with a group of witch friends and their ghost friend solving crimes. I enjoyed the first, and I've been holding onto this one since I got it for my birthday over the summer so I could read it in October, when I like to binge spooky and/or paranormal books.
Monthly Book Rec
It's officially Spooky Season, so I wanted to give you an appropriate rec! I've definitely recommended books from R Cooper's Familiar Spirits series (because I love them all and dearly wish there were more!), but I'm not sure I've mentioned this one here. It's perfect for the lead up to Halloween.
