Happy May!

Hello, my darlings,
And welcome, new subscribers! I'm so glad you're here!
I have no idea how it's May already—April flew by but also seemed very long somehow. I'm sure the state of the world and the constant flood of bonkers stuff coming out of the current administration doesn't help. *sigh* I am so heartened, though, seeing so many people standing up now. I hope you're all hanging in there and taking care of yourselves and each other through this.
I recently attended the Read the Rainbow signing (there are a few pictures below!) and had so much fun meeting and spending time with wonderful readers. And with my amazing mom, who came along as my assistant. It was a great day, even if it did start with a stressful traffic jam on the turnpike! 😂
I'm continuing to work on To Know a Dragon Spy, the second Dragons of Ivria book. As you all know, I'd hoped to have it in your hands last year, but long covid messed up all my plans. I am getting closer, though, and I hope to have concrete release date news for you soon. All the usual things are below, including book recs, blog posts, and this month's featured backlist book.

To Love the Dragon King
Once upon a time, before the hunts, dragons were plentiful in the world. Now they exist only in legend…except in the land of Ivria.
Featured Backlist Book of the Month
Can he risk his heart on the man who broke it once before?
Currently Reading
I so enjoy Stephanie Burgis's cozy fantasy romances, so I've been looking forward to this one!
Monthly Book Rec
I just read the second book in this fantasy/mystery series, so I had to rec the first book this month. They're twisty, excellent mysteries in a well-crafted fantasy world, and the main characters are an eccentric detective and her bemused, bisexual, dyslexic assistant (who is also our narrator).
