Hello, my darlings!

I hope the new year is treating you well so far. January always seems like a bit of a let down after the excitement, activity, and general sparkle of the holidays. But it's also a good time to take a breath and take stock. I don't generally do resolutions, but I do like to reflect on the year past and plan for the year ahead. As I'm writing this, snow is falling, and it's hushed and peaceful and romantic and lovely. And I can truly enjoy it since I don't have to go anywhere. I can stay inside and drink hot chocolate and write. Watch the snow fall while a pot of soup simmers on the stove. Perfection.

In case you missed it, I did an author spotlight over on J. Scott Coatsworth's site at the end of December. You can find the interview here. I'm also doing a virtual author chat with Janette Pardo of the Wayne New Jersey Public Library on January 18th. You can find the link below for more information, and if you can't join live on Zoom, don't worry—you can watch the recording alter. I hope I won't be too nervous!

In writing news, I'm continuing to work on the second book in the Dragons of Ivria series, still tentatively titled To Trust a Dragon Spy. I'm also still playing around with the first book in my cozy witch series. No updates on release dates yet, but I'm still hoping to publish both this year.

Once upon a time, before the hunts, dragons were plentiful in the world. Now they exist only in legend…except in the land of Ivria.

I adored the first two books of Freya Marske's Landing Binding trilogy and I'm loving this last book too (though I really don't want it to end!).
