Oh it feels so good to be able to get outside and enjoy spring! Winter tried hard to stick around, but it's gone. I hope where ever you are that you can get out and enjoy nice weather too!

I'll be switching the newsletter up a bit. The first one of the month will be features and free book promos. The second will be an article format with something fun - Japanese culture, book updates, etc. I hope you enjoy the change. <3

Q&A

What have you been doing lately?

April is the Tourney of Tales for Game of Tomes (GoT), a house based writing competition. I'm co-leader for Meles the badger team. It's keeping me busy, but it's been a blast! Basically you pick a team, and turn in points for your words in a participating Twitch co-working stream. If you'd like to learn more check out the Tourney Page. (You can join at any time.)

During the tourney, I'm working on editing my book, helping with the Game of Tomes lobby stream on Twitch, and writing VSSes (Very Short Stories - social media post length stories).

I'd love to say hi and work along side you if I'm there, otherwise we have a great crew. Feel free to stop by and say hi in the lobby and let the crew there know who sent you! (I'm Shyredfox on Twitch and in GoT.)

What are you reading?

Currently, I'm reading two books - via audiobook. The just for fun is Kimiko and the Accidental Proposal it's book 2 of the Amaranthine Saga by Forthright. I loved book 1, Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox. And this was available for free for me in Audible. So how could I pass it up? I like the characters even more than in book 1, they are so lively and spirited. Hopefully I can finish it soon, because I can't wait to find out how the accidental proposal turns out!

In non-fiction, I've been listening to Tiny Experiments by Anne-Laure Le Cunff. I'm enjoying Anne's focus on following your curiosity. It really fits with one of my themes this year: Explore. Trying new things for a set time as an experiment and thinking of the results as data input really is refreshing! I'm not quite done with this one either. My time's been pretty limited this month, due to Game of Tomes and book editing. But so far, I can recommend both books!
