Hello ,
Itโs not unusual for professionals in the caregiving economy to have had personal experiences that influenced their career path. In this regard, Lance A. Slatton is not unusual. What is impressive, is how heโs developed a thriving business and an award winning podcast that inspires and motivates others.
Lance channeled his very personal caregiving experiences with grandparents and his father into a business that seeks to support family caregivers in their journey so that they donโt feel the isolation and frustration that he not only experienced, but continues to hear from many caregivers. With his award winning podcast, โAll Home Care Matters,โ Lance fills in the gaps between healthcare systems and other providers so that caregivers can gather unbiased information to make the best decisions for their families.
๏ปฟLance is a generous supporter of AlzAuthors and the โUntangling Alzheimerโs & Dementiaโ Podcast. Join us as we talk with him about his personal and professional journey, and hear about his upcoming endeavors, including a new book, The All Home Care Matters Official Family Caregivers' Guide. You wonโt want to miss this one.

Our Most Recent Author
A music therapist, registered nurse, and hospice counselor, author Alder Allensworth has worked with both children and geriatrics, including those with Alzheimerโs disease. When her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimerโs, she took note of the less than positive effect her motherโs behavioral changes had on the grandchildren (Alderโs nieces and nephews). She began looking for resources for young children. The books she found focused primarily on memory loss. โAlzheimerโs is much more than just memory loss,โ she says, so calling upon her years of personal and professional experience, she teamed up with musician friend Brenda Freed to write a picture book for young children that explained Alzheimerโs, then Brenda set the story to music.
