Happy New Year from Authors!
Dec 28, 2022 2:00 am
Dear ,
Happy New Year to all our authors and friends!
As we reflect on the old year, we can't help but be grateful for the many connections we've made through AlzAuthors. We love being part of an organization that sees the value in sharing stories. All of the books, blogs, podcasts, films and other creative endeavors on our site have added to the treasure trove of resources we offer. Whether you are a writer, a caregiver, a person with memory impairment or one of our supporters, we value what you do and who you are.
For those in need of resources, take a few moments to browse our website.

With love & blessings too all,

Tips on Managing Family Conflict for the Holidays and Everyday
The holidays can be a stressful time for anyone, but can be particularly daunting for caregivers. The added obligations and commitments, plus the shopping, wrapping, cooking and baking, can be more than we can handle on top of all of our other duties. And then there are the difficulties caused by family conflict, old resentments, drama, and more. In this video series, Kimberly Best, RN, MA shares her knowledge and expertise in conflict management to help you enjoy the best holiday you can envision. Kimberly is the author of How to Live Forever, A Guide to Writing the Final Chapter of Your Life Story.

Caregiver Writing Workshop for 2023
Here's a writing workshop for caregivers from Annette J. Wick, author of I'll Have Some of Yours and Pauletta Hansel, author of Palindrome, poems about her mother's journey through dementia. Annette and Pauletta lead online creative writing experiences designed to help family caregivers, past or present, explore the gifts and challenges of their lives through poetry, storytelling, and journaling. In this workshop, participants write to reflect on their own journey, and to share as much or as little writing in a supportive and safe circle of other caregivers. No previous writing experience is necessary. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants prior to class date. Four sessions throughout 2023. Free.
