Meet Anne O'Brien Carelli

An educator, Anne O’Brien Carelli is also an author of children’s books.  After she became the dementia caregiver for a loved one, Anne devoured many books and articles written about this disease. In her search for information and because of her background in child development, she was struck by the lack of books written from a child’s perspective. She found few books explaining dementia in a way a child can understand. Anne shares: “The combination of my professional background, the shock of adjusting to a scary diagnosis, and my observation of a gap in resources for children resulted in a “perfect storm” compelling me to write I'll Remember, Poppy.”
