Tip of the Week

I'm assuming that if you're subscribed to this newsletter, you have some interest in NCAA Hockey. With NCAA Hockey comes a crucial step that every player will eventually have to go through: the NCAA Eligibility Center. Essentially, this is the online portal players go through so the NCAA can ensure that players are eligible to participate in NCAA sports.

It's important to note that only players playing at the NCAA D1 or D2 level absolutely need to register; that being said, many hockey players don't know if they'll play D1, D2, or D3, so it's always a good idea to register anyways.

While registering, you'll be asked a number of questions, ranging from high school grades, standardized test scores, playing history, substance use, and more. It's very important to answer every question honestly, as lying can get you banned from NCAA sports entirely.

You can create an account and start the registration process by clicking here.

As you're going through the process, you may come across questions where you're unsure, which is completely fine. If this happens to you, make sure you reach out to an expert so they can help you answer each question correctly. This is very important because the last thing you would want is provide the wrong answer without knowing any better and then having it come back to bite you in the future. You can talk to your coach about it if he's familiar with the NCAA process, or even reach out to us if you want to! We'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have about this process.
