Q: How can I get better as a hockey player?

A: We like to follow a very simple formula when it comes to improving our skills at anything: Practice + Feedback. We often hear the saying that practice makes perfect, but in fact, we believe that this saying is incomplete. Practicing alone without proper feedback will limit your overall progress because you won't learn from your mistakes and will likely keep repeating them. A more effectively way to learn and grow is to practice while receiving immediate feedback, ideally from another individual who's an expert in the field. This is why mentors like coaches and advisors can be incredibly valuable for your overall development; they tell you exactly what you need to keep doing and what you need to change up/work on. So with this in mind, we challenge you to practice often and seek out mentors that can give you the feedback you need to develop into the best player you can be.
