Q: How can I get better as a hockey player?

A: We like to think of a simple formula for this: practice + feedback. It's important to work hard and get the reps in, but simply doing this isn't enough. You need to consistently assess what is working and what is not, and from there, adjust and continue learning & improving. This is where having a coach helps out a ton, because they can provide you immediate feedback on your blindspots, which greatly shortens the learning curve. Whether it's with the help of a coach or done by yourself, remember that you need to put in the work on a regular basis and constantly analyze what you need to change to become a better hockey player.
