Hi ,
Today’s devotional makes space for something often rushed or ignored — grief.
Scripture:
“There is a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.” — Ecclesiastes 3:4
Grief isn’t always tied to death. Sometimes we grieve lost seasons, unmet expectations, broken relationships, missed opportunities, or versions of ourselves we never got to become.
And yet, many of us feel pressure to move on quickly — to be strong, faithful,
positive. But Scripture gives us permission to pause. To mourn. To feel honestly without shame.
Grief is not a lack of faith, it’s a human response to loss.
God is not uncomfortable with your tears. He doesn’t rush you through them. He meets you in them. When you allow yourself to grieve, you make room for healing that doesn’t bypass your heart but restores it gently.
If you’ve been carrying unprocessed sorrow, today is not about fixing it. It’s about acknowledging it. Naming it. Letting God sit with you in it.
You don’t need to justify your grief.
You don’t need to compare it to someone else’s pain.
You are allowed to feel what you feel.
Reflection:
What loss or disappointment might you still be carrying that God is inviting you to acknowledge today?
As you move through today, give yourself permission to grieve without guilt and without hurry. Grace meets you there.
Holding space with you,
Agatha
