Dear —
This is my last message before Christmas, and wishing you a wondrous one!
But first a big of humbuggery...
Ah, that word could be misinterpreted. Humbugousness? No that doesn't really work either. Well, never mind. You know what I mean!
It just occurred to me as I was out cycling earlier, how ironic I should be sending a message to you in my Non-Fiction Readers List when things are surely stranger than Fiction!
I am watching with shocked disbelief as the British government violates Magna Carta, our foundational constitutional text, which declares, "To no-one will we sell, to no-one will we refuse or delay, right or justice."
It's doing so by granting pharmaceutical companies legal immunity from prosecution for any harms done by their rushed, experimental, and greed-motivated vaccines. Vaccines that completely miss the lesson that Covid is here to teach us, vaccines that represent the very systems of exploitation and enslavement that Covid is set to overthrow.
Alas, governments and leaders are going to have to learn the hard way, as did Pharaoh when he resisted the abolitionist campaign that Moses brought to his door with the Plagues of Egypt. Plot spoiler: Moses won, and Pharaoh died in the Red Sea, drowned by his own hubris!
I could write a book on all this. Oh wait a minute, I already have! In my Verses Versus Empire series, exposing 20 years of corporate misrule under three imperial presidencies. Early next year, I will be releasing all three volumes in one collection at a special launch price. Stay tuned!
So what kind of a dumbass Christmas message is that, Abdiel? Where's the Christmas cheer, the goodwill to all men, and a child is born? Well, it's in my novel, The Christmas Tree, newly revised in time for the Festive Season and with my own audiobook narration. Links here, and the collection is here.
So see you on the other side!
In the meantime, ho ho ho hum...
Love,
Abdiel
