What if?

Folks,
I had this particular story in my head for a while, and although it made me laugh because it’s ridiculous, I couldn’t quite connect the dots.
A friend of mine has been known to eat a Snickers while reading Men’s Health.
I can even picture him sitting there doing it. What is he thinking?
Last week, while thinking about decision-making, I came across the term “via negativa,” a method of describing a subject by stating what it is not, often used in theology and philosophy to approach the divine or in life to improve by removing the non-essential.
In short, before adding to a situation, it helps to think about what we can take away. For my friend, it makes way more sense to take away processed food than it does to search for a new superfood, or stellar move that melts body fat in the latest edition of Men’s Health.
But, of course, we don’t.
Before you search for what’s next. What could you remove instead that might make a significant difference to your life?
For me, and the situation I find myself in, it’s fear, doubt, resistance, whatever you want to call it.
My job at the moment is to sound like myself. Easier said than done when you are in a recording studio, reading out words that you have written. Still, it’s a work in progress.
What if:
No one cares?
It’s rubbish?
Or, what if:
I can write this book
Produce this audiobook
What will life be like then?
Emotions are a double-edged sword; you can use them against yourself or for yourself.
Be good!
