What do you see?

Folks,

I’m going to start with a quote that gets me every time:

“Give a man a reputation as an early riser, and he can sleep ’til noon.” — Mark Twain.

Reputation goes before us, changing how we see things – and that’s worth challenging. Perhaps, a more useful question is: What do you think you see?

Something I’ve found fascinating recently is the question: Whose task is it? Is it my task to find a way to entertain or rebuke a kid who’s got their hands in their pockets while I’m coaching? Who benefits?

It’s a challenging question, no doubt, and one that opens up a world of possibility - new ways of seeing the world. Maybe that’s the point. Things are not perfect or ideal, but when you can see things differently, then change is on its way.

Have a lovely week

If you have 20 minutes spare, check out this cookery program from my hometown of Caerffili - I found it inspiring and that’s from someone who couldn’t wait to leave when they were 18. I see things differently now.
