Delete the adjectives and keep the facts

Folks,

I’ve always liked the saying “How you do anything is how you do everything” because I can use it to tell my kids to untie their shoelaces, put their school bags away, and occasionally remind myself to follow my own advice.

This week, I found another use for it. The simplest way to think about culture is through fractal design – how you do anything is how you do everything.

If not, it’s not truly embedded and, therefore, not culture.

In case you are wondering about the link I shared, it’s the Mandelbrot set - the deeper you go, the more complex it gets.

Warning: Self Promotion

Last week, my work was included in a new book by Seth Godin called This Is Strategy. It was a very proud moment for me. Learning to work without applause is a fine strategy, but once in a while, it’s nice to know that your work has inspired someone else to join the conversation.

I'll wrap up this week's conversation with a word cloud made up of the answers to the question:  “What did you like about Coach Camp.”

Until next week,

Simon

P.S. If you would like to tell me what you are working on, you can drop me a line here, I’d love to hear from you.
