I can do that

Folks,

Here in the UK, we are past masters at telling people what we can’t or won’t do. “I can’t do Sunday, but maybe I can do Tuesday.” or “I don’t want to lift too much weight and get too bulky; I want to stay athletic.” You get the idea.

And yet, this hilarious poll from You Gov, shows us that a quarter of us believe that if we train for four years, we could qualify for the next Olympics. Brilliant!

Of course, it’s nonsense, but we like to think if things had been just a little different, then we would have been a contender, right?

Well, I can’t promise I’ll help you get to the next Olympics, but if you have an itch you want to scratch, you know what to do.

Let me leave you with an interesting event that is happening in Nov - The Wellbeing Economy Cymru Festival of Ideas and a question that is easy to ask yet we often have no interest in the answer:

What do you want?

Have a great week.

P.S. A reminder that I’m running a 6-week no-cost guided practice workshop for coaches who want to write a Coaching Manifesto. You can find all the details here.
