THE DIRTY ANNIVERSARY

Like my own wedding anniversary, I completely missed the date. I’m a flaring dummy, bruh. March 18th marked one year since I quit monkeying around with my manuscript on pressed publish on my first book. In hindsight, it was too early; the thing needed more work. But I did it anyway and part of the human experience is dealing with your decisions—and your mistakes. 

I’ve learned a lot since then—even wrote a sequel, but as I approach the midway point of my thirties on this far-less-exciting-than-sci-fi version of Earth we call home, I’ve had some time for reflection. Reflection on trials and tribbles, and things learned through the process. Thing is, I don’t think I’m ready to put it into words yet. So, I’m going to save it for another issue. I know, I’m a tease. But...

I’ve been burning the midnight oil again on a new project. In a month or two or three, I might need a few trusted gentlepersons to take a sneak peak at that project, give me some feedback, and be willing to write a review to get the ball rolling.
